All performances are free, open to the public, and will take place at the church, located a few blocks west of Carytown at 4200 Cary Street Road, Richmond, VA 23221. Celebrating its 50-year anniversary, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is an exciting musical based on the story of Joseph from the Bible’s Book of Genesis, with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The story is based on Joseph’s struggles and perseverance through difficult times and includes notable characters such as the Elvis-impersonator Pharaoh. The show is family-friendly with music that will be sure to stay with you long after you leave.
The cast of Joseph is made up of 40 members of Reveille’s youth and children’s choirs, ranging in age from 10 to 18. Live music will accompany the cast.
While admission is free, donations will be accepted at all performances to benefit three non-profit organizations, Shalom Farms, Habitat for Humanity, and Friends of Barnabas.
